Casa de Campo Real Estate
7,000-acre ultra-luxury resort in La Romana — Teeth of the Dog golf, a 370-slip marina, private airport, polo and Altos de Chavón, since 1974.
The Caribbean's Original Luxury Resort
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is the Caribbean's most storied ultra-luxury resort community. Founded in 1974 by Gulf+Western on 7,000 acres along the southern coast of La Romana, it has hosted heads of state, royalty, and A-list celebrities for over five decades.
The resort is anchored by the Teeth of the Dog golf course — designed by Pete Dye and ranked the #1 course in the Caribbean by Golf Digest for more than 30 consecutive years. Two additional Pete Dye courses, Dye Fore and The Links, bring the total to 63 holes within the resort.
Beyond golf, Casa de Campo offers a 370-slip private marina, a private international airport (IATA: LRM), 15 restaurants, 13 pools, a world-class equestrian center, clay tennis courts, and the iconic Altos de Chavón — a replica Renaissance village perched above the Chavón River canyon housing an amphitheater that has hosted Frank Sinatra, Julio Iglesias, and Alicia Keys.

Seven thousand privately held acres, continuously refined since 1974.
A Community of Distinct Neighborhoods
Casa de Campo's 7,000 acres are organized into distinct residential zones, each with its own character — from golf-front fairway homes to marina townhouses to hillside river-view estates.
Homes lining Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, and The Links — the resort's most established residential zones.
Waterfront townhouses and villas steps from the 370-slip marina's restaurants and boutiques.
Hillside estates above the Chavón River canyon, near Altos de Chavón, with the resort's largest, most private lots.
Lakeside and interior parcels offering lower entry points and buildable lots for custom villas.

What Makes Casa de Campo Exceptional
Ranked #1 golf course in the Caribbean for 30+ consecutive years by Golf Digest. Designed by Pete Dye, opened 1971, 18 holes along the Caribbean Sea.
La Romana International Airport sits within the resort — one of the only resorts in the Caribbean with its own IATA-registered private airport.
One of the largest private marinas in the Caribbean. Full service, fuel, and direct access to the Caribbean Sea from the resort.
A hand-built replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village perched 100 meters above the Chavón River. Home to an 5,000-seat Greek amphitheater, art galleries, and fine dining.
Polo fields, show jumping, and trail riding across the resort grounds. One of the Caribbean's premier equestrian programs.
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is the resort's single owned-and-operated hotel — rooms, suites and casitas, alongside privately owned villas that owners may place in the rental programme.
Living in Casa de Campo
Golf & Marina Living

Residential Community
Beyond the hotel, Casa de Campo is home to hundreds of private villa owners — many of whom live here full-time or for extended seasons. The community has its own police force, medical clinic, school, and everything needed for permanent island living within a gated, world-class resort.

Casa de Campo's Signature Spaces
Three destinations within the resort that define daily life here — explore what each one offers.
Altos de Chavón
A hand-built replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village, perched on a cliff above the Chavón River gorge. Cobblestone streets, coral-stone architecture, and bougainvillea-draped walls lead to art galleries, artisan workshops, and the Church of St. Stanislaus — the resort's most photographed wedding venue.
Its 5,000-seat open-air amphitheater, inaugurated by Frank Sinatra in 1982, has since hosted Elton John, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, and Beyoncé. For dining, La Piazzetta serves Italian classics with river views, while Chilango Taquería and Café del Sol offer more casual fare. A monthly Farmer's Market on the last Saturday brings local artisans, and the Regional Museum of Archaeology houses pre-Columbian Taíno artifacts.
La Marina
Designed by architect Gianfranco Fini in the style of Portofino, Italy, Casa de Campo's Marina spans 90,000 square meters with 370 slips accommodating yachts from 30 to 250 feet. At its heart, the colonial-style Yacht Club serves as the social hub for sport fishing tournaments — including the annual Marina Casa de Campo Cup — and everyday gatherings alike.
Portofino Plaza alone hosts more than 20 boutiques and restaurants, including Causa, La Enoteca, Limoncello, and Peperoni. A full-service concierge handles everything from provisioning to onshore accommodations, and the on-site IBC Shipyard is a Gold-rated Azimut service center — one of the most complete yachting destinations in the Caribbean.
Minitas Beach Club
Casa de Campo's flagship beach club, redesigned by Studio Fini and reopened in 2017, centers on a 23-meter infinity pool and lounge deck overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Widely considered home to one of the best sunsets on the island, it's equal parts restaurant, pool club, and social gathering spot.
The restaurant seats 169 in the main dining room with additional private areas for up to 80 more, serving a Mediterranean-Latin fusion menu built around fresh Caribbean seafood. The beach itself offers restrooms, water sports, and a children's play area, with waiter service straight to your chaise longue.
Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore & The Links
Three Pete Dye courses, 63 holes in total, all inside the gates. Teeth of the Dog is the headline — seven holes played directly on the Caribbean, and ranked the number one course in the Caribbean for over 30 consecutive years.
Dye Fore runs along the cliffs above the Chavón River gorge with holes overlooking the marina and the Altos de Chavón village, while The Links is the inland Scottish-style layout — the most playable of the three and a favourite for everyday rounds.
Genesis Night Club
Casa de Campo's own late-night institution, set in Altos de Chavón. Genesis has been the resort's dancing address since the 1970s and was completely redesigned and relaunched in 2015.
It draws an unusual mix — resort guests, villa owners and Romanenses who have been coming for decades — which is exactly what keeps the village alive after the amphitheatre empties.
Onno's Bar & Restaurant
The long-running favourite in Altos de Chavón — equal parts bar and restaurant, and the one place on property that reliably runs late. Known for its mojitos, tuna tacos and brick-oven pizza served until closing.
Casual where the rest of the resort is formal, which is precisely why owners end up there. Live music and DJ nights keep it going into the early hours.
The Spa at Casa de Campo
The resort's wellness centre, with a treatment menu built around detoxifying, regenerating and renewing — including Ayurvedic techniques alongside the more conventional massage and body work.
For full-time owners it functions less like a holiday indulgence and more like part of the weekly routine, which is the quiet difference between a resort you visit and one you live in.
